Problem
NEA needed visibility into a large volume of applications and agreements that were otherwise scattered across documents, making it hard to spot trends or retrieve information for decision-making.
My Role
Data Analyst Intern, working on analytics tooling and knowledge-management infrastructure.
Approach
- Analytics: Developed an analytics dashboard to provide insight into 3,600 applications totalling $6M in value, using Qlik Sense and GIS tooling.
- Knowledge management: Established a collaborative research database summarising over 100 agreements, improving how the team could search and reuse prior work.
Outcome
Decision-makers gained a single dashboard view over application volume and value instead of piecing it together manually, and the research database gave the team a shared, searchable source of truth for agreements.
What I'd improve next
Automate the dashboard's data refresh from source systems rather than manual updates, and add versioning to the research database so changes to agreements are auditable over time.
